AI Home Product Photography: Scale, Angle, and the Room It Lives In
Home product photography for furniture and decor brands. Watch Product studio build packshot, second angle, finish, scale, lifestyle, and hero frames.
Home product photography has to show shape and size. A straight-on photo of a lamp does not tell you if it is a table lamp or a floor lamp, and a spec table does not land the way a person or a table beside the object does. The home shot pack is a packshot, a second angle, a finish close-up, a scale frame, a styled room, and a hero.
The demo is the Product studio sequence for that pack: product, photo assignment, shots, generate, Shopify.

How home goods photography works in the studio
- Pick the object from the brand catalog.
- Assign three references when you have them. The main photo, a second angle, and a material or glaze close-up.
- Choose shots. Set the model to None and turn off Scale if you do not want a person in frame.
- Generate and compare the second angle to your source. Depth is where these frames drift.
- Push to Shopify with the packshot first so the collection grid stays comparable across SKUs.
What each home frame is for
- Packshot is the object alone, centered, for the thumbnail.
- Angle is the second side, so the form is not a single flat view.
- Finish is material or glaze, the frame people open to judge quality.
- Scale puts the object in a room with a person or furniture.
- Lifestyle is the styled room in natural light. The product stays exact.
- Hero is the campaign crop where the product still fills the picture.
Lamps, ceramics, textiles, and small furniture can share this preset. Skip a frame that does not fit. If you do not have a finish photo, turn Finish off rather than asking for a texture the source does not contain.

Frequently asked questions
What photos should a furniture or decor page include?
A packshot, a second angle, a material close-up, and a scale or in-room photo. A hero crop is useful for campaigns and collection banners.
Can AI show the real size of a product?
Only if the scale frame includes a person or a familiar piece of furniture, and you check it. Dimensions in the description still matter. The photo makes the number believable.
Will the shape change between angles?
Both angles are tied to your reference photos. Reject a second angle that changes proportions.
Do I have to include a person?
No. Turn Scale off and set the model to None. Packshot, angle, finish, lifestyle, and hero can still run.
What if I only photographed one side?
Generate the packshot and the hero. Turn Angle off until you upload a second view. Do not publish an invented side.
Does this work for textiles and ceramics, or only furniture?
All of them. The six jobs are shape, a second view, material, size, the room, and a campaign crop.
How should Shopify images be ordered?
Packshot first, then angle, finish, scale, lifestyle, hero. You set that order before the push.
Can I replace existing product photos?
Yes. Replace keeps video and swaps stills. Append adds the new pack beside the current gallery.
What should alt text say?
Name the product and the view: packshot, side angle, material detail, in room. The push step gives you a field per frame.
Is the lifestyle image an ad?
It can feed an ad later. On the product page its job is to show the object where it will live, unchanged.
Can I process a whole catalog?
Paid plans queue one pack per product. Each object needs its own photos.
Where do I start?
