AI Beauty Product Photography: Bottle, Texture, and In Use
Beauty product photography for Shopify skincare and cosmetics brands. Watch Product studio build hero, texture, flat lay, lifestyle, in-use, and label frames.
Beauty product photography sells a pack and a formula. A bottle on white covers the SKU. It does not show texture, a flat lay for the feed, or the product in use. The beauty shot pack is six frames: hero, texture, flat lay, lifestyle, in use, and a label crop.
Labels are the risk. If a word on the bottle changes, that frame is wrong even when the lighting looks expensive. The demo below shows the studio steps, including the moment the pack is ready to push.

How beauty product photography runs in the studio
- Pick the SKU. Use the packaging photo already on the product.
- Assign references. Packaging front is required. A texture, swatch, or liquid photo drives the texture frame. The back label matters when claims must stay exact.
- Select shots. Texture and flat lay do not need a person. Lifestyle and in use do.
- Generate and read the label on every frame before you approve it.
- Push to Shopify with the hero first, not the texture smear. Shoppers still need to recognize the product in the collection grid.
What each beauty frame is doing
- Hero is the collection thumbnail. Packaging, clean ground, label large enough to recognize.
- Texture is the proof there is a formula inside the bottle.
- Flat lay is the feed image and the bundle image.
- Lifestyle puts the pack beside a person without letting the pack disappear.
- In use shows application, with the packaging still recognizable.
- Label is the zoom crop of the front label.
Skincare, hair, and color cosmetics can share the preset. Turn off in-use if the product is not applied on skin. More packs: home, jewellery, apparel.

Frequently asked questions
What images should a skincare product page include?
A hero of the pack, a texture or formula shot, a label crop, and at least one in-use or lifestyle frame. Flat lay helps on social and on collection banners.
Will AI rewrite the words on my bottle?
The preset is instructed to keep label text unchanged. You still have to read every frame. If a word drifts, regenerate that shot from the packaging photo. Do not publish a claim the bottle does not make.
Do I need a model for texture and flat lay?
No. Those frames are product only.
Can I start with only the bottle photo?
Yes. Hero, flat lay, and label can start from the front of the pack. Texture is better when you upload a real swatch or liquid photo.
Should the texture image be the first Shopify photo?
Usually no. Lead with the hero so the SKU is recognizable in the grid. Put texture later in the gallery.
Does this cover makeup and hair, or only skincare?
All three. Disable shots that do not fit, such as a texture smear for a sealed palette if you have no product photo of the formula.
How do I keep shade names accurate?
Upload the front label and check the crop. Shade names are easy for a model to misspell.
Can I push the pack back to Shopify?
Yes. Append or replace, with alt text, in the order you choose.
Is a lifestyle photo the same as an ad?
Not yet. It is a product frame you can later turn into an ad. The product page job is recognition and trust.
Can I process a whole line?
Paid plans queue one pack per product. Each SKU needs its own packaging photo. Do not recolor one bottle into another shade.
What does this cost compared with a studio day?
A studio day is the right tool for a hero campaign. The pack is the right tool for every other SKU that still needs six honest frames. Start from AI product photography.
Where do I open the beauty preset?
Content, then Product studio, then Beauty.
